P. Diddy is said to have got involved in a brawl at his MTV Video Music Awards after party over the weekend but he had an unlikely rescuer come to his aid with reports that Beyonce attempted to stop the scuffle.
The ‘Grown Woman’ singer and her hip-hop mogul husband Jay Z were among a bevy of A-listers, including Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Leonardo DiCaprio and Rita Ora, who mingled at the star-studded bash on Sunday night, held at rooftop of NYC’s Dream Hotel.
However, the celebrations are said to have come to a temporary hold when P. Diddy allegedly got into a fight with another attendee, who was dancing “too close to him” and his girlfriend Cassie.
A source told the New York Daily News: “Diddy got in a fight with someone partying too close to him and his girlfriend Cassie.” Another eye witness described the scene as chaotic and claimed that power couple Beyonce and Jay Z waded in to stop the brawl.
“It was mayhem. Beyoncé was yelling to stop and Jay Z was separating people and getting people away from Bey,” the source revealed.
“We were all dancing and the fight breaks out, and it happened so quickly and bottles were crashing everywhere, and everyone was screaming. People got pushed into bottles,” said another partygoer.
The publication claims that while the scuffle left people pushing and shoving and broken bottles scattered around the floor, Diddy decided to continue with the partying and returned to the DJ booth to keep the festivities going.
