Action Bronson: NY Radio Changed After Trinidad James' Comments

Trinidad James' inflammatory comments regarding the state of New York hip-hop from a few months back had rappers feeling some type of way. But have his comments done anything to change the state of the rap game in New York or was it all just empty jargon? Well, one prominent rising New York emcee is actually thanking James for saying what he said, and believes that the comments have impacted the New York radio.

Action Bronson, who recently dropped his acclaimed "Blue Chips 2" mixtape with Party Supplies stopped by RapFix Live and was interviewed by Sway Calloway. During the interview, Action Bronson spoke on Trinidad James' controversial comments. "At the end of the day, he probably didn't say it the way he wanted to say it and he was running his mouth a little something and he wants to make a little wave for himself and that's how you do it, you get people talking about you," Action said. "I'll tell you this. Since that, the climate of the radio has changed drastically. Now they want to play New York stuff, so, thank you. Bottom line. Whatever it is."

Bronson also reflected on his memories growing up in New York and why NY hip-hop plays such an importance on him and his own music. "Growing up, all I knew was New York stuff," he says. "Not to say anything wrong about any other place that was doing it, but it definitely started here as far as I know. Why is it that we're going away from where it started? Could it be the artists? Yes. Could it be money being made? Yes. There's just a lot of factors. Someone's gotta take a stance and grab their nuts."

What is your take on Action Bronson's comments on New York radio? Do you think it's changed since Trinidad James' controversial banter?
